Busy working on A Thing today. More anon.

6:55pm the Thing is up at AO3.

About the title (Little Gifts Unspoken), if it interests you: I intended that the 'little gifts' are those moments of sublime connection, where he feels he is understood.

Few more hours, I think, before I post it. It's getting there.

You work on a Thing - isn't it difficult to keep it from scuttling about? I wonder if it would get on with my Alot?

WOW. Can I just say that? WOW. Your comments, and the depth of your perspective, have just completely floored me. To think that someone values my work enough to put that degree of effort into it... I am just completely gobsmacked. You are amazing.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! (I wish I could brandish your comments at ProfBoss and exclaim 'See, I'm making people happy! That's totally a valid use of my day!')

You should! The talent it takes to give someone these kind of feels aren't nothin', babe. I doubt your ProfBoss could make me happy cry.

Read the Thing

Damn, it makes me ache - my heart for the joys and heartaches he keeps going to and the way they are making it into the light, and my face for the grin of pleasure on it!

What is worse, it makes me want to write, but there is no way I could manage something half as good as this (maybe next year).

*Sighs happily*. You know, there's no greater compliment than to hear my little offerings have made someone want to write themselves. Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed this -- and your kindness in telling me how it's made you feel has made my own face ache from grinning.

Just read it and it was wonderful!!! It made me ache for him, but ultimately, it made me sigh with happiness. Finding someone who will help make sad memories into something new and better is such a gift. Thank you for creating and sharing!

Thank you so much for reading! And so much more for telling me how it affected you, what you brought away from it. I appreciate so much everyone who takes a few moments to let me know what my words have done.
